My suspicion is that a Gordon/Tucker picks package is appealing to Thibs who wants to win now, and we could probably take it now. Morey knows PJ is a pretty pivotal glue/hustle guy for a team full of stars, and Thibs has said an alternate package would be acceptable where we keep PJ, if Morey can find a taker for Dieng. At this point is just convincing Sacramento to facilitate. Just a guess.

I think the Rockets are pretty excited about starting CP3, Harden, and Gordon. That trio playing together had an absolutely absurd offensive rating. Add Capela and Tucker to that in the lineup and you have a really damn good starting lineup. I'm wondering if the Rockets want to see how that lineup works before considering any Butler trade. Besides, if Minny is asking too much considering it's a rental, there's no need for Houston to accept a trade now. Wait for Minny to blink.
