What are the chances that we get a one year rental with this guy, I know PG resigned when no one thought he would but theres no possible way we can hand Jimmy that max contract that he so obviously wants. And if he does bolt how in the world are we going to replace a hole that big in the rotation next offseason. I'd really like if our window of contention didn't end after this season cause Jimmy bolted.

Would Morey really trade for Butler knowing there’s no possible way we could pay him? If Morey is after him, then he knows he might have to give him a max contract.

i'm not sure replacing EG with Butler is really that big an upgrade for the team, especially if Tucker is included. EG's shooting/range is an important weapon for the Rockets offense, while Butler is an obvious bigger name/better talent, i doubt if Butler is better fit than EG, and Tucker is too much to loose to make up for that "upgrade". i think what Rockets need, the last piece of the puzzle, should be someone like a taller Pat Beverley at the 3 spot, a junk yard dog who hustles and also shoots better than average 3s (Butler), and defends. most importantly, NOT at the cost of Gordon+Tucker. i think Morey should have try to acquire someone like Taurean Prince from the Hawks, at the cost of only future picks. i'd give Hartenstein (with his recent hype), Qi/Nene (matching salary), cash, our euro stacks (maybe Llull?), and up to 2 future picks, for someone like Prince, rather than Trading EG+Tucker+pick for Butler
