How do u know we won’t give him the max? Are u saying that Morey is dumb enough to trade for him knowing full well we won’t pay him? That’s how Morey operates now? We all know Morey is after Butler, so he’s just out here actively wasting his time on purpose? If Morey wants him, then he’s also aware that he might have to hand him a max deal.

 

If this is true, the Rockets organization is making a BIG mistake & Morey's job should be in jeopardy. Butler's the more talented player. But PJ's more important & contributes more. He's more durable & guards EVERY position on the floor. Not to mention a good spot up 3pt shooter

Gordon + Chriss + 1st round should do it. Fill in butler with borderline Allstar EG and get a 21yr old number 8 pick to put next to KAT at the 4

You’d gain a above average SG while also going younger with a stretch 4

Kinda proud at Clutchfans for these results. In a time when most NBA fans are all about bandwagoning allstars, everyone is showing love to a role player - it warms the heart.

its tough.... realistically, the rockets to do not have enough compared to golden state with cousins, as many seem to already be forgetting they acquired since hes still hurt. boston at a 100% might also have more talent. with cp3 aging, just how long is the rockets window ? going forward the fact is the rockets are going to NEED another star here. my gut says if we are going to go all in, we would have to make the move if its available. unless you guys can think of another star we could realistically get our hands on before cp3 inevitably completely falls off.

harden cp3 are our only two legit all-star players (i'm not counting melo). the fact is the other contenders all have at least 3 and they are all in their prime. i think there is too much much on james shoulders. we all love tuck and ideally we would keep him and be able to add another star, but if he is the price it would need to be done. butler is a fierce competitor also. we all thought when bev was traded we lost our heart and soul. we would still keep that intensity with butler for sure.
