If the Wolves want him they can have him. Tucker and Harden can still be friends off the court. We have a very small window to win a title. Morey should pull the trigger and include him in a deal if it comes down to it. What's the overall consensus on CF?

Only Tucker you’d have to do it.

Tucker + additional assets, maybe not.

    All depends.

I love the Tucker vs Green match up too much to let PJ go. The only thing Green has over Tucker is passing. Tucker is a better shooter though.

Absolutely not, either EG or Tuck, not both but Cod said that PJ is not going to be traded and I trust him.

    No.

And I'm not entirely convinced we're after Jimmy Butler, knowing we won't pay him next summer (unless we want that title shot for 2018-19 and then a few years afterward as a perennial 5th seed). Three mega-max contracts? Dunno.

If Clippers offer him more money next summer, he might ...

Tillman is not going to offer him $190 million, maybe $95 million.

Logically, yes. If we don't have to deal our pick, then we can also use that pick (or a couple of 2nd round picks) to dump Knight next summer so we would certainly be able to afford re-signing him if Gordon, Tucker and Knight are off the books. That is, if Tillman is true to his word that he's willing to pony up for a contender.

    But I really don't want to. Also, I don't like Butler's attitude.

id be down 100% IF melo and marquese chriss can give the same kinda defensive presence as tucker. butler averaging 22pts/gm vs tucker's 6pts/gm is hard to pass up. so... IF we can keep the same kinda or similar defensive presence as tucker does then i am DOWN.

Nah. I don’t even want to lose Gordon. So, if anything it’ll be one or the other.

Fans would say yes, Tilman would say no.

It is about Repeater tax. 25 million = 88.8 million

Very likely, Butler would talk to other team next summer.

I don't really know lol, love PJ and i fully understand how important he is for the team, but Butler is probably the last chance we have with this core to get a third star...

Another think i don't know is why everyone is talking about having three max players on the roster in the future as a problem, if the the Rockets are trying to get Butler it means they are either ready to pay the tax or they'll get somehow creative and find a way to evade the repeater...again, otherwise they wouldn't even try to trade for Butler.

too much IMO. We know what we get from EG and Tuck. We don't know how Butler will be on our team, not just with his attitude but his injuries also. With EG and Tuck they fill 2 important roles on our team. Butler will fill in that big void at SF but now we don't have a starting defensive PF and reliable bench scorer. It's Gordon, fillers and picks is all I"m willing to give up.

we shouldn't trade for butler period.

also if you think about if we did trade for butler we are basically renting him for year. we are not going to give him the max so why should we give up 2 key players of our core for a 1 year rental ?

    No, no, no, no!

Butler likes Steve Balmer more than Tilman.

Contract year, Butler want more touches, so is Melo. We need two balls on the court.

Tucker was and is available in the right package for Butler.

    That has not changed.
