He'll take over for Jeff BzDelik.

I hope that Coach Rogers' great shot blocking and high self-confidence can translate to the Rockets. Not sure if he can carry all that extra burden on his bad knees, though, or if he's ever refined his power forward skills since 1996.

    Nope.

They need to add a veteran coach that is familiar with switching.

    Mike Woodson

D’antoni’s defensive coordinator back in 2011-12...Knicks were 5th in defense and did a ton of switching

Can't even get the handshake err fist bump right. How is he supposed to run the defense? :(

Rockets will sorely miss Jeff Biglydik.

One thing is certain, Roy Rogers does half-time interviews much more effectively than J.B Bickerstaff.

JB was the Bill O'Brien of the Rockets as far as interviews go.

    How about Bob O'Brien?

I heard he can get on players and more importantly, can shut down an offense.

    True.

He was also an asst with Chris Paul for 3 yrs. If Paul wants him, we might just get him. That said, just like Bzdelik, he was fired from a Melo team.

Andy Greer's first NBA job was being hired by JVG and the Rockets. Been with Thibs and Casey. Maybe we can steal him back from Thibs.

JVG would be a dream, but he isn’t coming here to be an Ass. Coach

I like Roy but watching him coach summer league doesn’t give me much confidence.

Roy Rogers is more player developing coach. I doubt he can be defensive specialist.
