I'm going to entertain this as if it were a decision I had to make as a franchise owner, and if GM jobs were lifetime like SCOTUS seats.

Well, not much to entertain actually. I'd trade Harden, simply because Morey is easily a top 5 GM in NBA history.

a great superstar can carry a team farther than a good management

aside from getting lucky OKC decided to trade Harden and he was at the right place, what else makes Morey great?

If you have to ask that question, you obviously take Morey and crew for granted.

    I mean Morey made Harden

I like morey because he’s always trying to go for that “win now” or at least “exciting To watch” mode

I hate teams that are complete crap for 5+ years jist trying to rebuild through the draft

I guess that's my point. These "basketball fans" are so willing to trade away Morey's greatest achievement.

Actually, any competent GM would have said yes to Harden for Kmart that pick etc

Great thinking, Mauri, Morree, morei are just mirror images of the tru Masta.

The Original will create even more smoke screen images.

While Morey is really smart, but he has also gotten lucky.

Houston was Presti's 3rd or 4th choice. All the other GMs foolishly said no to harden. Who would take beals or klay over harden.

He got lucky nba nixed the nene and gasol trade.
He got lucky bosh didn't sign here.
He got lucky melo didn't sign here.

His drafting record in the top 1/2 of the Draft hasn't been good.

Without harden we would still be a treadmill team. What 2nd superstar would have come here. We don't get Howard or cp3 without harden.

I’d hate to lose either - but an interesting thread. Morey and harden will probably both be in Houston as long as the other is. Harden was moreys signature move.

Harden being here keeps other top talents interested in playing for the rockets. But harden will diminish in his 30’s at some point.

Morey is the best GM in the game and could rebuild the rockets over and over after harden is long gone - so it really is a toUgh choice.

    Win now? Keep harden
Win consistently over time? Keep morey

    I can’t decide...
