I think Braxton makes the roster simply because he always seemed like a three year type project

Bob has been high on him in camp.

He may be putting it together.

DeShaun looks like he has put on some weight, not in a bad way. Hopkins is still "skinny."

I noticed. Looking more Steve McNair size when he was young. All Watson has to do is make sure not to pick up 20 year old women at Dave & Busters tho and he will have a greater future

As long as the guys aren't losing speed weight gain is good.

Will Fuller I am extremely curious about.

I am too. Will it "slow" him down. Maybe, maybe not. Muscle or fat?

Why was he ho-hum statistically in college? I see it wasn't a great passing offense his two years there after Dak left.

Why did he drop to the 6th round?

    Just curious...

My friend that went to Miss St says that he was very inconsistent. Showed lots of flashes of potential, but also showed lots of mental lapses. Hopefully this coaching staff has been able to tap into something with him, and he brings it consistently everyday. He would be a huge addition to this team.

Well he's not in college now, so it might be easier for him to stay focused. and not have lots of mental lapses. Who knows, maybe some of that had to do with all the other pressures college brings in studying, homework, exams, lack of sleep and all. Wouldn't it be great to find out we got a steal in the 6th round?

Adding on to this with my two cents. He was a junior college transfer and played receiver at Miss St because of their lack of receiver depth. Obviously looking at his body type, he's more of a tight end than a receiver weighing in between 270-280 lbs. The three things that should help him out with us are the following:

He'll be working with a great S&C coach. He already has great size, but his combine numbers in bench and vertical suggest that he's not nearly tapped out in terms of functional strength. This is an area where Brian Gaine and BOB both expressed optimism for him.

The second thing that should help him is playing at Tight End exclusively with dedicated coaching in that area. I listened to a Tyrann Mathieu interview this week on 610 Sports Radio and he described how hard it is to cover Jordan Thomas specifically because of his size, speed, and route running. He said both of the Jordan's are dark horse candidates this year.

The last thing is that he'll be playing with an excellent NFL QB in Deshaun Watson. Looking back at the quarterbacks, Thomas has had in the past, they were poor by any standard and no where near the caliber of an NFL quarterback. Based on all the reports I've read from camp, including community eyewitnesses, Deshaun likes Thomas as a target and he is a reliable catcher of the football. Not surprising considering he has over 11" mitts, larger than Hopkin's hands.
