Shirley they may miss the p/o's; but didn't they sign some school establishing dolt who is pretty good at basketball? OK, then - - when (if!!!) the LALers get eliminated from post-season participation prior to the post season playoffs initiate then I'll buy in.

    Nothing to see here.

The NBA will make sure LeBron makes the playoffs.

They had Utah 2nd and Houston 3rd. Also the spurs didn't make the playoffs...

Lmao at the spurs finishing 10th with 38 wins.

Spurs will probably be the 3-4th seed with a 50+ win team.

    This is pure non sense...

    Lakers
Barring some drastic drop-off in LeBron's play, the Lakers will most certainly make the playoffs. Whether they are one of the top seeds or the 8th seed is hard to say but honestly neither scenario would be entirely surprising.

    Rockets
They lost some depth that allowed them to withstand a lot of injuries last season. That said, signing Ennis & Melo on the cheap is a plus and if some of the other signings become valuable rotation players, Rockets shouldn't miss a beat. But since we don't know how those signings will fare, Jump's prediction about the Rockets regular season isn't too off base, if they run into injuries.

I disagree with them. They will make the playoffs. Lebron will bring the best out of that team, they'll be in the mix between the 6th or 4th seed.

Wouldn't surprise me if they do miss the playoffs, but i'm sure they sneak in late in the season. It's going to be tough. They won 35 last season. 4th seed to 8th seed won 48 or 47 games. 3rd seed won 49. Nuggets were right there. Clippers are not an easy out with starting caliber guys that will play the full season that they didn't have.. Lots of the middle pack to just missed out teams had lots of injuries that should in theory be even better with health and chemistry. Hard to see lebron just jumping in to a 35 win, bad defensive, poor shooting, young team and making them anything but a 7th or 8th seed even IF they gel right from the start which is highly unlikely.

It wouldn't be crazy to think that they miss the playoffs, but it doesn't matter one way or the other, they aren't making any noise no matter what happens.

Yeah but tbh the numbers are skewed towards popularity and choosability.

    Obvious gsw is 1
Boston being 2 is being hype
Houston is holding on to the smart spot
    Lakers ****ing suck

I know that he moved to the Western Conference but LeBron is still good enough to carry a team to the playoffs, even in the West.

You guys need to stop looking at what the media says, and go to the actual source of the material.

Kevin Pelton's projections are typically pretty good, and can be even more spot on than the Vegas odds. It's not him saying what he thinks, and it's definitely not what the talk show people think. It's actually an algorithm that he uses. Ariza and Luc were both better statistically than Anthony and Ennis last season, so it makes sense for the Rockets to get worse through projections.

In 2018, it had us winning 55 games. Houston won 65. In 2017, it had us winning 47. We won 55. So with us winning a projected 53 wins, it has us being only slightly worse than last season. Denver is projected to win 50.5 games, so basically the projections have us still as an elite team. Only the Warriors, Raptors, Jazz, and Celtics are projected to be better than us next season. In that order.

    For other teams on interest:

I see the Lakers as a solid playoff team that could please 4-6. They have solid depth and the chemistry should be good with Lebron there. I imagine some Western conference teams that were good last year but have chemistry problems will struggle to keep their spots. I'm looking at Portland and Minnesota to possibly drop out. Butler doesn't seem to want to be in Minny. CJ and Dame know that one of them is getting traded.

Harden alone can win 50 games in his sleep. At full health, Harden/CP3/Capela are nearly unstoppable. We're not winning a measly 53 games b/c of the loss of a 3 and D player and a career journeyman. Ridiculous.

I hope the lakers don’t make the playoffs. If anything they would get 8 seed or max 7 but just because Lebron is on their team doesn’t mean they will be great. If Lebron could make kuzma and Ingram irrelevant by turning them into spot up shooters like he did to Kevin Love. I prefer

Okc not making the playoffs and I’ll rather have the spurs in.

And they have us at 53 wins and #3 spot? If anything we will be #2 or #1 at 63 wins
