    HATE that the 2nd year is a player option. We gave up all upside.

    He plays even decently and we are in the same position next year that we are in this year. Beginning him to take his bird right deal because we need the MLE

    Kind of excited about this - sneaky good pickup. Curious to know how much he cost us though. EDIT - for the minimum? Thats a great pickup.

    optimist: he's got younger and more athletic legs than ariza and LMM which will allow him to maintain lift on his shot deep into the playoffs which our old guys couldn't do. he will get better looks for 3 than he ever got in his career so his % should go up.

    pessimist: can't shoot, can't score, average defender. is he really our starting SF right now?

    someone tell me which one is more accurate?

    Had to get this dude. Good move. Will look better than he has playing next to Paul and Harden.

    i'm pretty ignorant on this guy. i can't ever remember watching him. But ...in Morey we trust?

    i want contract details and an objective evaluation by a clutchfan who's watched him a lot. I'm offering "likes" as payment.

    Well, considering it's for the minimum, i don't think the player option is a problem, nothing to not like about this deal.

    I love this signing. Posted the following in another thread:

    LMM's 17-18 Playoff OBPM = -8.1!!!! DBPM = 1.9. PER = 2.6 (Career PER 10.7)
    Can argue this is because of injury.

    Ok. Let's look at LMM career playoff stats:
    OBPM = -3.3. DBPM = 2.2. PER = 9.1

    Ennis 16-17 (only playoff appearance in 6 games)
    OBPM = -2.3, DBPM = 3.0. PER = 11.3 which is close to career average 11.7).

    https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-swingman-james-ennis-agrees-2-year-deal-rockets-214427081.html

    Free-agent swingman James Ennis has agreed to a two-year deal with the Houston Rockets, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

    Ennis’ deal with the Rockets will include a player option in the second year, league sources said.

    Ennis is expected to compete for a starting role on the wing. Ennis received interest from several teams, including a push from the Sacramento Kings in recent days, before deciding on a deal to join a Western Conference contender in Houston.

    Ennis, 28, played 72 games last season for Memphis and Detroit, averaging 7.1 points and shooting 33.3 percent from 3-point range in 22.3 minutes per game.

    The Rockets also remain in strong position to secure Carmelo Anthony once he secures his release from the Oklahoma City Thunder, league sources said.
