    It’s like Pitino said; “Larry Bird isn’t walking through that door. Robert Parrish isn’t walking down that hall, and if he does he will be old and gray.”

    The Rockets aren’t getting Jimmy Butler or LaMarcus Aldridge or any other all star caliber players anytime soon in trade. We don’t have the assets.

    The fact the Rockets are drooling over a 34 year old fading all star in Carmelo Anthony only proves the point. There is no secret prize behind door #2 with a ready made all star.

    For this to work the Rockets have to bet on players that exceed their past performances and pay grade. It can work, Ariza and Moute did.

    So time for everyone to just accept reality and hope that Anthony comes to the Rockets and contributes and the Rockets get the free agents they want (Ennis etc) and they can trade Anderson (possibly Gordon) for players that fit the Rockets.
