I honestly have zero memory of him. maybe I have the name "Ennis" blocked from memory.

Melo can't play the 3 Progs, he's a PF at this point in his career. Yes, I know switching, but Ennis is far better starting there, with Melo at the 4. Tucker comes off the bench just like he did for 50 games last season.

Who the **** is James Ennis? Man this is the worst off-season you could have coming off of what we accomplished.

Not true, you babies would be crying even worse if CP would have left us to join Lebron in LA.

I mean do you not actually know who he is? If you don’t then you don’t know the NBA that well. And so you’re certainly no expert. Not saying he is well known. But if one wants to claim they know a lot about the NBA they’d probably know James Ennis. So when you get down about this off season, just remind yourself you don’t know what you’re talking about.

By looking at the market and Rox's need, these are the possible targets at this moment :

    Kent Bazemore
    Allen Crabbe
(above trades to be involved with Anderson's contract, basically a bad contracts trade plus the Rox giving up a pick maybe)

    James Ennis
    Nick Young
    Trevor Booker
Wayne Ellington (this is the ideal one, but doubt he will settle for anything the Rox can offer)
    Jamal Crawford

Jamal Crawford=great guy, not a good player anymore
    James Ennis=obviously their top target
Nick Young=Good shooter, not a fan
Wayne Ellington=Would love to add him, not sure where he'd get minutes assuming we keep Gordon and add Melo and Ennis
Trevor Booker=I'm indifferent. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get a minimum deal

    Trades:
Kent Bazemore=Good solid player, would love to flip Anderson for him
    Allen Crabbe=Can't defend

I remembered him. I freely admit that it took a highlights video of his defense against Harden during a game last season to jog my memory, but when I watched it, I was like, "Hey! I remember that b*stard. He gave Harden fits. Might be a good fit here." I think Ennis would be a good fit here. I think he's teachable and will pick up Bzdelik's system, and I think his 3 point shooting from the corners will improve simply because he'll get open looks and the ball right where he wants it. Heck, like PJ, he might start hitting them from other spots, as well. I think he would look nice playing with PJ, to be honest. That's a lot of "I think's," I think. Sorry. I think.

Yeah, I disagree, he did just fine doing it for 50 games last year. And either is Melo btw, so here we are.

I think those are good points, I think.

I like unknown guys because they'll usually be a nice surprise.... usually.

Looking at the stats, he is very, very similar to Trevor Ariza offensively. Very similar percentages and totals across the board when adjusting for minutes and possessions. Assuming he plays good defense, which it seems he does, this could be a steal. He’s also 6’8”, just like Ariza.

    Per 100 possessions he averaged the last two seasons: 15.5 pts, 8.0 reb, 81%ft%, 55%2pt%, 35%3pt%, 58.5%ts%

    Compare per 100 possessions to Ariza’s last two seasons: 16.5 pts, 7.2 reb, 78.6%ft%, 53.9%2pt%, 35.5%3pt%, 55.6%ts%

I don’t know if you could find another player in the league with stats more similar to Ariza if you tried.

I want him simply based off the fact that he just turned 28 and he’s an athletic wing with good size that can defend.

Shooting is overvalued/overrated on this team imo. We have specialists like Anderson who was worthless, had Ariza who was as inconsistent as can be and even Gordon who’s supposed to be cash from deep wasn’t so money.

What this team desperately needs is youth and athleticism. Out of all the main rotational players last year only Capela was under 25 and Harden/Gordon under 30 barely.

I think he’s a prototypical fly under the radar potential Morey gem.

Honestly I didn’t know who Luc was when we signed him last year. So I am not gonna judge this guy if we sign him. He might surprise us.. we will see..

I came to post in this thread to say the exact same thing. I knew who he was but besides being the Clippers’ small forward we knew nothing of what he can bring to this team. And that’s cuz he gave us no reason to most of his career.

Not sure Ennis can fill the void of Ariza but it’s ludcirous to think someone like James Ennis can’t put us in a better situation than had we re-signed Luc.

Hell I thought the PJ Tucker signing was such a meh move and now I would be very disappointed to lose him.
