    Tilman was on Power Lunch today and they asked about Carmelo.

    His response was Carmelo can help all 30 teams and wherever he goes he will be great.

    Seemed like a he’s not coming here tone. Who knows.

    Pride thing, ego as well. He also wants to be out there when the game matters most and maybe he thinks as a 6th man he won't get the chance to. If I was him I'd do it and win 6th Man of the Year.

    WHO THE HELL DO WE HAVE TO PUSH MELO TO THE BENCH???? How can we make these request for him to come off the bench when we don't even have a SF/PF to start? This is going downhill really fast................

    As a Melo fan I personally hate this, I get it as an athlete because I had to do that before but he'll get a chance to truly reinvent himself and change the narrative.

    If he starts and you guys fail its on him, if he comes off the bench and you guys succeed thats look good on him.

    ok...

    I mean he did hit 38% of his threes as a starter with the Grizzlies last year, and is at lease decent defensively.

    And Ariza sucked in the playoffs... so maybe, it might just be a wash at best.

    Alternatively, Ennis is a career journeyman just as likely to give you 5 or less points as anything worthwhile. (32 of his 72 games last year)

    Melo fans have no room to complain if he goes to Miami instead.

    Tells you loud and clear that wining is not his priority. Melo is a priority to Melo like it has always been.

    The young defensive wing mentioned in that article.

    I think the goal is have Harden/CP3 attack teams early on with the wings and Capela holding the other team down and then unleash EGO and Melo off the bench against 2nd units who can't keep up with that type of scoring off the bench.

    If Melo would agree to come off the bench does that mean we are trading EG off to get a small forward? I don't really see the rockets starting CP3, EG and Harden. But what the hell do I know.
