    most of them were FA at the right time. it just sucks for CC he wasn't. but theres little he can do about that.

    By the fact that Morey is offering 15 per, it shows precisely how much more he's worth.
    You said it yourself. The other party gives a high amount, and the other party gives a low amount.

    15 per is nowhere near the middle.

    it is not.
    Teams may be very interested in paying him a lot as a UFA but not hardcapping themselves and trading assets away for a S+T.

    Have you seen a lot of S+T lately? =)

    It will be nearly impossible to move CP3. Morey would have to lol in his face if he asked to be traded to a "contender."

    To get to $40 million in matching trade value a team would have to send back over $30 million in contracts. What contender is going to have those contracts lying around on players they don't want to keep? The new NBA will have contenders with a handful of stars on big contracts and everyone else on mid level type deals.

    They said its the offer its not the final "take it or leave it offer". They have to set the offer low as the other party needs to set their offer high so have room for leverage.

    Rox 15M, Capela 25M, final deal 20M which is smack dab in the middle.

    If the Rox give 20M at the start and Capela still says 25M then to compromise they need to give 23M which is obv more.

    You really think 15 mill is reasonable for a top 5 center? Especially when Ryan Anderson is getting paid 20 mill per year . I would be pissed if I was not getting atleast that.

    He's not worth $25 mil/yr. I would give him about $18 mil/yr max. Problem is what do we do? How do we replace him?

    If he wants to sign the QO, then so be it. The Rockets can acquire a good rookie center in the draft, who can give 70 percent of Capela's production at 1/20th of the cost.

    However, Daryl Morey will have to learn from his Dorsey/ Nanu mistakes, and go for a DJ type, for that to happen.

    Nobody. He's a system player that happens to be young. He's the Corey Jospeh of centers and Joseph only got paid because he was a Spur.
