YES! Because when you're looking for a quick defensive player to guard the perimeter, Michael Beasley is the first name that pops up!
MCW might be a disaster offensively, but you're the first person I've ever heard call his defense a negative. MCW has been a pretty damn good perimeter defender in his career so far.
We should sign a bunch of terrible defensive players so we aim to be the bottom 10 defensive team in the league! We'll also drive Tucker and CP3 insane in the process.
He doesn’t strike me as a high IQ guy and is prone to make many terrible decisions on offense and defense we’ve seen that. I guess his length allows him to make some defensive plays but I wouldn’t call it a huge game changer for us compared to Beasley where he would actually contribute offensively. So sure he’s not terrible but not that big of a positive compared to other players and what they can bring.
Michael Beasley is a high volume player. If you give him minutes he'll give you points and rebounds. That doesn't make you a winning team though (i.e. the Knicks, T-Wolves, Bucks and Heat etc.) We'll be fine without him off our bench.
