    TL:DR Summary:
    -Rockets are looking for bargains
-Might not be able to keep Mbah a Moute
-Will eventually work it out with Capela
-Think MCW can help in certain circumstances, not viewed as a major signing
-No imminent big moves, may not be any splashes this year

Said it earlier, reminds me of the Bledsoe summer. However that may have just been a clutchfabs thing.

This is an article Brown should have had Feigen write a week ago.

Capela being the main agreement that matters most says everything I need to know. There are no major trades coming.

    No Ariza, possibly losing Luc.

Our defense will suffer. 65 wins will decrease between 58 and 60

We can't beat the Warriors losing 2 of our best defenders.

    MCW ain't impacting nothing.

    This off season sucks!!!

Capela is significantly more important than anyone the Rockets would acquire at the wing spot, yes. He is a borderline max-level player.

That does not mean they do not on intend on acquiring anyone at the wing spot.

Anyone paying attention knew this was going to be a very tough off season. So why all the anger, you should have expected this. The best case scenario for the Rockets was to resign everyone. The worst case scenario was losing Capela and Paul. The Rockets off season has fallen in the middle.

I wouldn’t read too much into whether the Rockets will or will not make trades. The article was about free agency, and at the end of the day the Rockets only had their MLE and veteran minimums to hand out. The Rockets haven’t used their MLE because they don’t know if they will need it for a 3 or not.

Ariza hasn't been good for a while now. CC might be a system player with no market value

I’m sure they do intend to get a good wing; they have to because they lost a very good one. Doesn’t mean they have the means to add one though.

How is MCW as a defender? Youth and length is on his side as far as a backcourt player?

Still wouldn't trade Anderson, but if so be it, hope the Rockets get a decent haul.

Blah, if Cousins could have come to the Rockets for free and keep Capela might have an even better chance against the Warriors, I mean if it all worked out together.... However the Warriors have an already better team than last (even if Cousins is only 80 %).... Blah, Houston still has the best shot but GD the NBA sucks as far as competition.

Fake all in. Obsessed with beating the Warriors for a year ... then it got too expensive. Can't keep up with the Jones' in the Bay Area.

So you're gonna pay Chris Paul his toxic contract but let everyone else walk. OK...

Bargain shopping, not using their MLE ... next you'll tell me they'll pay the price to move Anderson to shed more salary.

    #freeagency #pickofthelitter HAHAHAHAHA :D

I didn't listen to the podcast but saw the posts discussing it ... MK Bower talked about last year being a one year window. I thought that was crazy at first but now? I don't think it's far fetched.

Between the trade market and the lack of cap space out there (meaning certain FAs will fall through the cracks), they'll be fine for an Ariza replacement.

I feel very confident that if they couldn't add a serviceable wing, they'd have traded the draft picks necessary to move Ryno -- thus saving the money to keep Ariza. They'll add someone serviceable, it just won't be anyone in the neighborhood of Capela in importance. Which is understandable.
