1 is the last team standing 8 is the first team eliminated Little different than ranking them based on playoff seedings 1. GSW 2. Lakers 3. Rockets 4. Wolves 5. Nuggets 6. Pelicans 7. Thunder 8. Blazers
As of current rosters: 1) GSW 2) Houston 3) Lakers 4) Pelicans 5) Jazz 6) Thunder 7) Blazers 8) Twolves
I say can we at least wait to see who is going to play where? Right now I don't know if the Lakers get past the 2nd round. The 2nd round could mean playing the Warriors in the West
The Lakers are not making the Western Conference Finals with their current roster. Only if they somehow get Kawhi, would they have a chance of finishing that high.
As it stands now. Tier 1: GSW, HOU Tier 2: OKC, LAL, UTAH Tier 3: POR, NOP, SAS, MIN, DEN (2 of these teams don't make the playoffs) Tier 4: The rest of the west. Even for teams hoping to rise like Dallas and Phoenix, it is going to be tough. -Playoff 1st round 4/5 matchup is brutal. -Playoff 2nd round is going to be super tough. -#1 see in the West is more important than ever.
Minnesota with a healthy Butler should be in tier 2. Also, I think putting the Lakers current roster in tier 2 is a stretch.
It’s far from a guarantee that the Spurs agree to send Kawhi to the Lakers. Remember the Paul George situation last year?
I could buy Minny being in Tier 2 if I knew Wiggins would get better. KAT and Wiggins got worse last year. That caps the team. Thibs already wearing on them? Lakers as Tier 2....I am giving LeBron the benefit of the doubt there.
Minnesota was either 3rd or 4th in the West before Butler injured his knee against the Rockets. I expect them to finish in the middle of the pack this year. As for the Lakers, I just don’t care for their roster outside of LeBron at this point. He also failed to win 50 games in the much weaker Eastern Conference last year. Right now, I would have them in the Tier 3 group.
I do. It’s called the Spurs decide not to trade him to the Lakers. Kawhi very well might be a Laker in 2019-2020, but it’s no guarantee he gets there before or during this season. Remember, people said the same thing about Paul George last year and look at how that turned out.
i know everybody jumping on this Lakers bandwagon but I don't think that team is any better than the cavs were last year so I say 7th or 8th seed at best and may missed the playoffs houston bringing the gang back minus ariza is still to 1 or 2 team in the nba period
