Thought this was a good article detailing what the Suns are going to do in Free Agency.

It appears they will have up to 20M in cap space with some maneuvering.

So, they are looking for a VET Stretch PF, huh? Anyone know of one that might be available? :p

I could see them considering an Anderson for Chandler/Dudley type swap if the Rockets were inclined. That would leave their cap room available for a PG like VanVleet or Marcus Smart.

Also of interest in that article. Sounds like they are going to renounce Elfrid Payton to make him a UFA. I know @Codman has hinted to him in the past as it relates to the Rockets. But, now that the Rockets have DeAnthony Melton, perhaps there isn't as much interest now.

    A stretch four you say.

Yeah we might have one available, and the good news is that he's under contract for 2 more years. A real team player and great locker room guy.

Haha. You sound like a used car salesman. Let me add a few key points to this beauty we have on the lot over here:

Veteran leadership. Good off the court guy. Premier 3 point specialist. He can dunk. He's versatile- can play multiple positions. He just had a minor setback and wasn't able to find his rhythm again. His shot was coming around but coach didn't give him enough minutes to really heat back up. Fortunately for you, he's revved up and ready to be a major contributor next season. He also comes at a bargain price.

Phoenix, what's it going to take to put you in this pre-owned Ryan Anderson today?

Isn't veteran leadership something you are looking for? Since you seem like a good guy and I like you, I'll also throw in Nene for a small additional charge. Keep it quiet though. I don't want the owner to find out what a great deal I'm giving you here.

Surely there's at least one coach/GM who thinks they can restore Ryan Anderson.

Always though they were going to go after Smart, at least if they didn't draft Doncic.

As for the stretch 4, i think they will look to Bjelica or Ilyasova.

On a side note, let's say we don't get a third star this summer, would you guys trade Ryan for Tyson and Dudley or you would keep Ryan to have a big salary to move?

    20 M in capspace?
Let's say they give an offersheet of 15 to Smart that's only 5 mil to find a pf.
I thought they may go after Favors but there's not enough money.

Some of them even like to add a sentimental story about them like they just had a new born or something like that so you feel bad if you walk out lol

    Ryan for Tyson straight up.

Ryan is the best pure stretch 4 in the game. Also, it allows Ayton to start and opens up space for him to operate and get used to the NBA.

THIS !!! The most exciting news since the Lebron rumors started!!

He actually would fit perfect with that team!!! I’m excited to get a chance to get rid of his butt to a team that actually wants and could use his services.

    Payton or Smart/Van
    Booker
    Jackson
    Anderson
    Ayton

    Not to bad!

This is hilariously short and includes many bits of him slowly jogging backwards after making a shot.

Err, I mean to say, Phoenix Suns, that this is only the tip of the ice-ryno!

I’m 99% sure PHO doesn’t want to absorb Ryno’s $20 million contract for 2 remaining years left on it. They already have a young Dragen Bender at that spot who they’re hoping comes into his own this season. I don’t however understand what they’re going to do with all those forwards they have on the roster. They currently have Jackson, Warren, and just drafted Bridges so I’m not sure what the plan is there. I do see them moving Chandler to a possible contender like HOU.

    I get that they want a strech-4, but I'm worried they may not want a stretch-to-call-him-a-4. :(
