There is a very good all-time team from the 1984 draft: Dream Jordan Barkley Stockton (That's four players at least in the argument for best ever at their positions.) Probably run a third guard with Alvin Robertson (Defensive POY, 4 time All-Star, 6 time All Defensive Team, 3 time leader in steals). All passing lanes would be small. First off the bench, you have SF Jerome Kersey, a 16/7 guy. You also have a few backcourt minutes for Jay Humphries (15/3/6) and Vern Fleming (14/4/6). Front court bench players: Sam Perkins, Otis Thorpe, Michael Cage, Kevin Willis. That's some muscle! Every rebound will be had. It would be a blast to watch an all PF lineup with Barkley at the point, Perkins at SG, Thorpe at SF, Cage at PF and Willis at C. On injured reserve, there's the great Oscar Schmidt and in the D-league trying to dribble is Carl Lewis. Left off Jim Peterson and Rick Carlisle.
A glorious day, and one of the most incredible drafts in NBA history, as rimrocker showed so well. Thanks, OP.
Just Rap? All music in every f'n genre was better back then! Food was better back then, girls were hotter back then!
IIRC, the steals/dunks against the celtics at 0:26 and 1:20 happened on consecutive plays, in the '86 finals, and there was much shaking of Bird, Parrish, McHale heads.
