I'm gonna have to say sitting out an entire season, not being on the bench to cheer on your teammates, and not talking in person with your coach is pretty damn petty. Recency bias is making me vote Kawhi's drama ahead of Durant's cupsnake move.

Agreed on all counts, but at least Kawhi's move didn't ruin the league, just one team.... so far.

Not a winner, but might be worth the mention, T-Mac getting surgery on his own so we wouldn't trade him.

I voted for "Locked Up by DeAndre Jordan" because it made a true b**** of Mark Cuban driving around town calling and begging people for Jordan's address... :D

How is this even a question? Why is it limited to the last 18 years? Kd made the biggest b**** move of all time in any professional sport and 100 years from now it'll still be known as the biggest b**** moves. Athletes that good usually have some ounce of pride but in that respect Durant was truly special.

There's Kevin Durant and then there's everybody else. He's in a league of his own. Nothing is worse than choking against a team up 3-1 in the WCF, then jumping to that team the very next season. Don't see how that can ever be topped.

Out of the rest of the list, I'd say Kawhi's is the worst.

I thought it would be interesting to go back further but the more I thought about it the more I realize that no one is going to top KD so I stopped at year 2000.

So much more to practically everything there that you or nobody else could possibly know. Dont believe all the media reports on everything. Some of those things were out of players control

The one and only kevin durant actually did leave a team to join a champion he lost too. We know the facts. Biggest beta b**** move by a player. Not even close

Please share. I'm not being sarcastic either. I eat up NBA stories like Clutchfans members eating on their Chipotle in their car waiting outside Kincaid for LeBron to exit.

    lulz

Not one of the Poll options was about a coach pissing off a drafted, franchise player in his prime....except for Popovich.

Why do y'all keep protecting a dick, authoritarian coach like this. A player rebelling was bound to happen, as it has almost happened with Parker and LMA in the past.

This NEVER would have happened to Rudy, Riley, Daly, Jeff van Gundy ... All rhyming names. Coincidence??

Pops has an ego. Face it.

I kept it exclusively to players but to your point, I agree, Popovich is dealing with karma to the max right now

I don't quite understand your hate for Pop. It's not like this is the first big name / superstar he's had, and he mishandled Kawhi's entire tenure.

Pop has had Robinson, Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, Aldridge, Gasol and a whole slew of other pretty good players to come through SA's ranks throughout the years. Yet, this is the first time that there's been a huge story.

Maybe Pop deserves some portion of the blame, HP, but I don't know how Leonard comes out of this blame-free, in your eyes. He was under contract with the Spurs and he was cleared by team doctors to play. Obviously I'm not in the inner circle, but I'm sure there's documentation and a lot of other legal things that have to be cleared, of which I'm sure everything was on the up-and-up.

Yet Kawhi didn't play, and felt like he had to get other opinions. And when his personal doctors' opinions (you know, the same doctors that are paid by Kawhi) went against the team's doctors, Kawhi gave the cold shoulder to the entire organization.

Could Pop have handled it better? Probably. Could the roster and organization have handled it better? Probably? Could Kawhi? Hell yes.

Again, I don't know what your deal is, with Pop, but your posts about this debacle make it seem like Kawhi is 100% blame free, and that Pop is this character who deserves to be completely criticized.

It never ceases to amaze me how ppl don't see through his authoritarian crap, even while Kawhi is trying to explain it to you, without actually going public

You say "How can you hate Pop, hp."
I say, "How could you not see something like this coming over the years."

Parker and LMA had to be talked into staying. Duncan was very close to bailing, too.

I don't hate Popovich because of the Spurs success. I have always hated Popovich

To me, he's no different than Jerry Sloan, and I knew this day would come....because of watching his whole career. and no one is going to convince me that he is not an iron-fisted ******* of a coach. The type that made Larry Bird quit basketball.

Do you honestly think Hakeem would have put up with Popovich? Magic? Bird?

Why shouldn't Kawhi be 100% blame free. Dude has been the most hard-working, loyal, tough, superstar player for 6yrs, and he's just tired of the bs.

Pops is a control freak with an Ego.

I have to say, if Kawhi's health magically recovers once he leaves the team, then we'll know for sure that he was full of **** this entire past year and had giving the finger to his team all for the chance of moving to the Lakers to superteam with Lebron. At least KD was already a free agent, and at least Tracy by giving us the finger also did it to himself, never being the same after his microfracture surgery. Kawhi has my vote.
