What an amazing time that was to be a Rockets fan in Houston. I still remember Hakeem hitting that 3 to put the game/series away - and Clyde's reaction. Sometimes I wonder if we'll ever get there again. EDIT: found a video of Hakeem's 3.
Remember it like it was yesterday. One of the best playoff runs of any team in history. Every series on the road against multiple 60 win teams....epic. That was a great time to be alive.
And on this day, 2018, we got rigged out of winning the championship by a bald corrupted dude and a snake.
What was so odd about that epic playoff run was how anti-climatic the Finals were - but in a good way, of course. All those elimination games on the road we faced....and then a relatively easy sweep of the Finals. I mean, after that crazy Game 1 win, it was pretty much inevitable what was going to happen.
Remember it well. So long ago - need my kids to experience what it was like. A new generation of Rockets fans deserves another Clutch City title!
