They were joking, this Kawakami guy is one of the worst reporters, he always tries to make something out of nothing. The party host put Bob Myers on the spot, with his promise of giving Durant's whatever he wants with his future contract, so he made the joke, everyone was laughing, include both Curry and KD who sat next to each other.
Their owner and GM are a pair of arrogant douchebags. It will be a glorious day when the Rockets sweep them next season in the WCF.
