LeBron: How many more years does he have? I have said I think he has a 3 yr window. After that I think he will be a shell of his former self. Vince Carter comes to mind. I think in considering where he is going, he was to figure a place that can go to a championship NEXT YEAR He has ZERO time to build and create the opportunity ' If he does not win in the next two years He will be looking like someone's tagalong IMO A contributor. . .maybe a major contributor .. but still a tagalong Rocket River
I'm fairly certain LeBron believes that no matter where he goes next year, he will be competing for a championship. While we as fans say he won't be able to compete in LA (even with a 2nd star), he probably doesn't agree with that. That arrogance comes with the territory of being the GOAT.
At this point he needs guarantees. IF he is taken out in the 1st or second round . .. his 'legacy' takes a worse hit ESP if it happens in the West IF he loses in the WEST in the 1st Round. . . . .. his legacy will not recover Rocket River
I think he has 2-3 at the level he currently is. Then another 3-4 of still being a good player. I think he retires at 40 and is still a somewhat productive player at that age.
I don't see him doing the Vince Carter thing At worse he will be the second banana When he becomes a third option . . .he will retire Rocket River
LeBron will keep playing as long as he stays a top 10-15 player making $25 million or more. It's going to be a while. At least 5 more years.
3-5 years, baring serious injuries, you guys realize he'll be 34, this year. Most superstars start to decline around 30-33, while the better ones slow down towards 35-38.
From the looks of it, he'll probably have another 2 good seasons of being around a top 5 player. So I think it's likely he could still be performing at or close to an all-star level about 4 years from now. So all in all, if he stays injury free, dude could have another great 3-4 or so years ahead of him performing at a star level. Which, is absolutely insane, to think about a 38 year old performing at such a high level.
Agree with those above: 2-3 years as still the best player (or at worst 2nd best) and then another 3 years as a top 10-15 player. But I mean, this guy has defied all the odds, doesn't get injured/miss game, so really who the hell knows? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Said he wants to play with his son, who's currently 13, so another 5-6 years into his late 30s/40. Keep taking those magic pills.
he will play until he's 45 and then join the tnt crew and talk nonsense before purchasing the cavs and become a control freak owner.
So long as he doesn't get caught taking his magic designer PEDs he has 4 more years playing at a high level. Has any in NBA history ever played as many games/ minutes in 15 seasons?
He'll be the best player in the league until a major injury. He spends $1mil+ on his body every year, with the addition of him being the most mutated freak of an athlete in human history. LeBron will set a new bar on what the term "GOAT" means. He'll be 38 and still a Top 8 talent.
Even if he got caught the NBA is as corrupt as they come...they would hide it. Not a doubt in my mind.
