Not really better than Reed or Fisher. It has been rare top jump straight to Quad Cities/Lexington. Fontana and Bregman are the two exceptions I can think of.
Luhnow's late round success stories: 2012: Mike Hauschild (33rd rd), Jordan Jankowski (34th) 2013: Tyler White (33rd) 2014: Dean Deetz (11th), Josh James (34th) 2015: Myles Straw (12th), Drew Ferguson (19th) 2016: Taylor Jones (19th) 2017: Josh Rojas (26th)
Lyle Lin is playing in the Cape Cod League, so it doesn't look like they're going to get a deal done there.
Signed today: Jeremy Pena (3) Cody Deason (5) Austin Hansen (8) Mark Moclair (12) Juan Paulino (27) Layne Henderson (30)
Interesting that the press release says they are the first 6 players to sign, but none of them are one of the 4 draftees listed on today's roster for Tri city.
4 of the 6 are pitchers: Cody Deason (5) Austin Hansen (8) Mark Moclair (12) Layne Henderson (30) I suspect that they will be on pitch count and IP limits for the rest of the season. They might spend a few weeks in the Florida complex lightly training and maybe having their mechanics tightened up.
