2015 Houston Astros draf class is arguably the most talented draft class I have ever seen considering that we sign all the guys we did in the first 10 rounds.
Michael Wielansky (18) has reportedly agreed to a deal. People also thought that he was a better soccer player in high school.
Astros' 17th round pick pitched today I also noticed that 15th round pick Trey Dawson and 31st round pick Riley Cabral were teammates on the same powerhouse Chipola team last year. Cabral was BA's 405th ranked prospect before having a poor year at Memphis, so there's probably some upside there if he chooses to sign.
I am a bit surprised that Beer is not heading toward A-. Most of the high college draftees do. Maybe the Astros have slowed their roll for draftees?
I think Beer is better prospect coming out of the draft than those 3. Just an observation; nothing to do with the subject of this thread.
Everyone should thank @tellitlikeitis for the constant knowledge. So there's 2 19 yo kids on UTs team I'm watching today and they're both the same size but totally different: Zach Zubia is a RHB 1B/DH/LF and Joe Parker Robinson is a RHP sidearming reliever. They both run about 6'4" 220. ZZ hit a ball in the game yesterday that was a legit 470 feet but he pulled it just foul.
Word. If Parker Joe picks up some velocity as he grows, he really reminds me of young Joe Smith. His stuff is filthy.
This sophomore kid for Texas Tech John McMillon has got a hell of an arm and a build and a 3-4 pitch repertoire.
LHP Jonathan Bermúdez (23) has also reportedly agreed to a deal. Brady Fredericksen covers college sports for The Ledger, which appears to be a collective of community papers in Central Florida.
