Now that it seems like things are really heating up in the WCF's:

I feel like Morey having to walk around outside the Arena to hold it together.

It's too much. The game is like 7 hours away and I don't want to think about it.

Then we have to do this again Saturday.

My wife is upset that I have a big Rocket flag out front. My kids start bawling the morning after a loss when I have to tell them since they go to bed too early to watch. I've been going to bed at 130-2 AM since I can't really sleep after a loss or a win and getting up at 6.

I can't believe we have to do this up to 10 more times. I can't make it through 2.

I think I'm just going to start following E-Sports when this is over.

I think I am suffering from adrenal fatigue. I couldn't function yesterday and literally crashed about 7pm. I'm about to do it all over again tonight. I may resort to cutting myself to cope lol.

My body is just falling apart. I get a text from my girlfriend this morning saying that game 4 took 20 years off her life. I responded with "only 20?"

personally i wish all the of the games were like the last one. i enjoy the emotional ups and down of the playoffs. not one sided games that are blowouts

Seemed like every playoff game during the mid-90's was like this. Well, except the Orlando series. There were some gimmes there. Anyway, I hate it when I'm watching but looking back it was sure fun.

I have a tendency to change the channel at the end of a blowout (particularly if the Rockets are winning) because I want to remember them playing well and not witness anything horrific happen.

It's weird as you get older you care less but also, you don't want to be disappointed more.

It's weird now because we didn't have the instant Take-o-verse like Clutchfans, twitter, 24-7 sports commentary etc to resort to back then, it's just they lost, maybe you had talk radio and the newspaper and local TV and that was it.

Now we have 24-hour continuous reacting which I think makes it worse but alos more addictive.

It was better in many ways when you had to pick up the Chronicle or wait for the score ticker to update on bottom of TV to know who won.

Stress is just aspect. The fact that I can't be fully productive on game day is killer.

After 40+ years as a Houston sports fan, people think I'm cool and handle things, but really, my nervous system is just shot.

It's all good though. Well, except for Bud Adams. F that guy.
