Stanford player means he’s probably a Warriors fan. Don’t like him.

Justin Reid's weed dealer most likely. Makes the transition easier for him.

Looks like the Texans don't need them.

Other than @Ottomaton, I am fairly certain than exactly nobody on this board has actually looked at a substantial amount of film on any of these guys. And even he couldn't have had the time to do it for them all before the draft, or else he's be working for somebody in the business.

Odd that you post this in a thread where nobody claims/bullshits to know this guy. In fact, everybody clearly states that they dont have a clue on the guy.

Not really odd at all, since I didn't mention a player. It could have gone in any of the 20 draft threads. This is the one I happened to be reading at the time.

ESPN: Kalambayi is an above-average tackler with good length and excellent top-end speed for a 3-4 OLB, but he needs to improve his ability to get off blocks

Rotoworld: Texans selected Stanford LB Peter Kalambayi with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft. Kalambayi posted an athletic profile in the 77th percentile and offers pass rushing depth for the Texans. His outlook appears to be a rotational player on the outside and a special teamer. His family is from the Congo and Trinidad and Tobago.

CBS Sports: (B) Stand up SAM with flashes of twitchiness and powerful hands. Not consistent getting off blocks and limited bend. | Muscular stand-up outside linebacker with good suddenness and a high motor. Bull rush is really his only passing rushing move. Plenty of experience sinking into coverage. Quick reaction skills as weak-side edge-setter. Limited explosion and bend around the edge.

SI: Scouting Report: He has the combination of length and athleticism—as well as experience in a 3-4 front—that teams want in an edge rusher. The production was never there at the collegiate level though, especially after a breakout season as a redshirt freshman. He’s a face-up rusher rather than an edge burner, and he's too easily knocked off-course once a blocker gets hands on him. He’ll be a third pass rusher early on, as a coaching staff looks to unlock some of that upside.

    Draft Projection: Round 6-7

    Overview
Kalambayi is a well-built athlete with adequate strength, above average wingspan and sudden feet who hasn't been able to match the production to his traits. Kalambayi looks the part and will test well, but his lack of instincts and feel as a pass rusher could leave teams frustrated. His strength at the point of attack and ability to handle and work around edge blockers may be a little bit underrated. Kalambayi has the talent to become a backup 3-4 SAM linebacker and with high-end special teams potential.

    Strengths
    • Plus athlete with plenty of bounce
    • Production has been like clockwork since his freshman season
    • Flexible with very good agility
    • Good initial upfield quickness
    • Quick arm extension gets the edge set
    • Has strength and lateral agility to hold point of attack and upper body flexion to work around blockers
    • Improved ability to punch and play off of blocks
    • Flashes explosiveness in his feet
    • Reactive quickness is above average
    • Plus pursuit speed to the football
    • Makes diving tackles from long distance
    • Has rush traits that haven't been developed
    • Spin counter has some life
    • Able to drop in space and show quickness to mug up on receivers in his area
    Weaknesses
    • Failed to show meaningful improvement from early stages of his college career
    • Face-up rusher
    • Lacks feel for flipping hips around the edge
    • Path to the quarterback is linear and lacking wiggle
    • Gathers into contact minimizing speed-to-power conversion
    • Despite athleticism, not an effective or talented pass rusher with many sacks coming on secondary rush or quarterback scrambles
    • Slow to diagnose causing him to play with hesitancy
    • Would benefit by utilizing a more attack-oriented style
    • Not as reactive as he needs to be
    • Doesn't always play as fast as his timed speed
    • Better athlete than player right now

"Something is just missing. You see flashes and then he just disappears. Shaw's guys really get them coached up so it's hard to believe they couldn't get more out of an athlete like that." - NFC College Scouting Director

Special teams boost. Can't hurt. Can it?
