How many innings has Cole been graced enough to pitch this year with more than a 1-run lead? ... eta, heh, thanks George. I can subtract 1 from that.
This offense is back to striking out a lot...or maybe Hamels is just having a really good game which I don't want to concede.
4 out of 20 innings, counting this one, in case anybody other than me cares. Boy's been working hard. Put a blue star on all his ****.
Anybody else notice on the tv feed the crowd noise turned up like 40% more than normal it is like they have a microphone placed 6 to 8 rows back on the 3rd base side it is really annoying.
Sorry, we had to move our outdoor festivities semi-indoors, since there's a proper lightning storm to the NW. Jake and Marwin are on the team, they're the best as the utility IF/OF. The Astros still have the same 2 holes they had last year: DH and LF.
Cy Cole has a ring to it I think if you win the Cy Young they should say Cy before your name... like being knighted.
Sigh Marisnick and Fisher aren't staking any kind of claim to that LF job. At this point they are just lucky the service time system is the way it is.
Gallo the only guy to score on Cole this year. Anyway, LF and DH hopefully can finally get fixed this year. Those are the only major weaknesses on the club now. Marisnick is a pinch runner, late inning defensive replacement and Gattis is just not a good enough hitter to be the DH.
