I mean, not saying they would offer this package, but the Celtics could trade one between Tatum and Brown, Kings 1st rounder, Rozier or other picks/young players...Lakers can trade Ingram, Randle or Kuzma, Hart which is an interesting player, i think especially for an organization like the Spurs, not sure if they can trade the Cavs pick too but yeah...

Codman has never been right about anything and an actual Big 6 is impossible.

It's going to be either LeBron or PG13. Capella is your 4th in a Big 4 scenario. He's earned that much from his play this year. If DeAndre Jordan was considered a part of a "Big 3" with Paul and Griffin then Capela being a part of a Big 4 is not out of the question.

    Paul
    Harden
    Ariza
    LeBron or PG13
    Capela

If OKC crashes out early, then I could see PG13 ( more likely) and possibly even Carmelo reluctantly agreeing to take a cut, if either one is serious in winning a NBA Championship.

My guess is GP13 and or DJ. Bench idk
Maybe Reddik or Avery Bradley or Tyreke Evans.

Or maybe Cousins and Wilson Chandler.

How much do you think Capela will get pay? If he gets 22 m I think Dj would go down to 20m maybe 18 but I doubt he goes lower than 20.

Wow Carmelo gets 27 million next year. Yea no thank you. And Lebron 35 million. I think I’ll prefer PG13 for 20m and Dj for 20m that’s almost as much as u would pay Lebron.

I see George opting out maybe signing with us but Carmelo won’t get his 27 million anywhere else and I don’t want him here. I prefer someone like Wilson Chandler for our bench.

I could totally see Jordan opting out of his contract for less money IF it landed him a long term contract on a contending team. If he opts in he'll make ~$24 mil playing on an awful team in a stacked West in an expensive state. Hypothetically, if he signed here for 3/4 years at $12/$15 mil he'd have security against a decline, on a great team, in a state with no income tax, in his home town.

I prefer Clint if i had to choose and i can't see us allocating double digit contracts to two centers.

Just to add on - DJ is 29 and never been out of the first round. His game is predicated on athleticism that will surely begin to fade. He's made his money and might be ready to ring chase.

That's okay with me too. I'm not keen at having Melo in Houston either.

He is better than Ryno, but can he move the needle?

DJ to Houston, Clint S/T? Won't that cause the Rockets to end up with the hard cap though?

I don't think so. Think of the market that Nerlens Noel faced. He has a similar skill set to Capela and was more hearlded coming into the league. He was a restricted free agent and took a qualifying offer to go back to Dallas. There were no max type deals out there. The summer of 2016 was the outlier. I think Capela was get 12-14 million a year, which is reasonable. I can't see anybody maxing him out when his value is so dependent on having elite point guard play.

Yea rumor was he would take a pay cut.
Also if Capela gets more than 22 million I doubt we match that offer. If there are no offers which I doubt and we know Dj would take less than Clint I think we would let Clint go and sign Dj. I mean it would be Hard to let Capela go. He is still very young and still raw and getting better.
But maybe we match if we win a championship or if Dj and Capela salary are closer.

Dj still a great player but you can see he isn’t happy. I’ve watched a couple of clipper games after the allstar break. He isn’t as engage as before and they don’t set up as many plays for him. He gets his points by rebounding. He has let a couple guys go through when last year he would defend every drive. Even with an uninterested Dj or maybe still a bit hurt from his ankle. He still is averaging around 18 rebounds.
Imagine how great he would be here since Capela gets doubles digit points thanks to Harden and Cp3

Is it still a big 6 if four of the 6 are washed up former all-stars?

DJ probably won't agree to come to Houston if Capela stays with them.

The Rockets biggest problem remains Ryan's contract. He won't be a UFA until 2020. Capela or Gordon will have to be traded along with him.
The 2020 first round pick may be in play too.

Well that would ironic AF considering he said previously Harden and Dwight weren't winners. Also Love is too injury prone pass on that dude. I don't think he's ever had 1 full healthy season since he broke his hand in Minny.
