Reid is not even close to a top 10 safety in the league, top 25 maybe but not top 10

Keep in mind: he wanted to go to a winning culture and he took 2M less to be with us than what the cards offered him

    I think pancakes meant $50k
    $50k x 20 games = $1 mil

Cardinals fans on Reddit are saying he’s not that good anymore, that he’s lost a step.

Likely “per game” is actually per a couple points in the season.

A step down from top tier is still worth more than one year $7 million. Miniscual risk, tremendous reward.

They are right. He’s lost a step because he’s had multiple knee injuries. He got blown up a lot in coverage the last two years.

I think it’s too much to ask him to be the super versatile playmaker he was two years ago.

Tyrann Mathieu just signed for what we would open up in cap space if we waived Kareem...

With Colvin, Joseph, Mathieu plus assuming some growth from Kevin Johnson...makes sense to either renegotiate Kareem's contract or let him go. Either way, he's not worth $9 million.

Very surprised and very happy. A BIG hole has been filled. Even if he has lost a step, no one on the roster was even worthy of making the team honestly

I get the renegotiate angle, and that's what I would push for, like I said earlier I'm no capologist.

I have zero faith that Kevin Johnson can stay healthy, or even be good when he is. They need as many decent-to-good DBs as they can find.

    Cool.

I mean I’m all for the signing as I’ve said for days now. I’m just realistic about who he has been. Romeo may use him better and not stick him into slot coverage like the cards did who knows

Either way for a 1 year 7 mil deal that's nothing considering what he was rumored to be fetching
