We are obviously one of the top 2-3 contenders this season. How would you guys define a successful season for this team? Please vote!

Conference Finals, no fewer than 6 games

Warriors are a historic team, so no shame in losing - even with HCA.

If this team loses to the warriors in a tightly contested WCF you can't say this wasn't a successful season.

Let's also consider what the answer to this question would have been in November

Oddly enough, losing to the Warriors seems like more of a success than losing in the Finals. There’s no excuse not to beat any teams out East (yes, even the Raptors) in 6 games or less

Losing in the WCF in 7 would be better than losing in the finals. If we get there we better win it.

And thats it. Anybody with a different answer is selling themselves and this team short. Its all or nothing to deem this season a success.

    Rockets may fall in WCF.

The good news is that they will add a piece in the off-season either way.

Have to make it at least to WCF game 7 and at that point it should be a win with home court. Choking in game 7 at that point is unacceptable so they better make it to the Finals or lose before game 7.

In short: making Finals and trophy is a success and anything less is not. Warriors are the team to beat but we are better.

    What is a successful season?

Make the playoffs, maybe host a playoff series and hope Paul and Harden mesh and stay healthy.

This year it has to be championship or bust. That's what we've been working for, the #1 seed, all the veteran signings. We've gone all in on winning this year so anything less than the chip has to be considered a disappointment.

That's high expectations.......I would call a Final appearance a good showing.

its really championship or bust as far as being successful. There's nothing else that would really satisfy that. The rockets are just at that point now.

The floor should be no less than the wcf against the gsw. If they happen to fall short there, it can still be considered a good season but I wouldn't say it was successful.

lets not overlook the fact that warriors have 2 MVP winners who are playing in their prime, they could very well have the best player and the third best player in their team right now.. they could very well have first and a second all time best shooters in the history of the league and I would also put Durant as a top 15 shooters all time... they also have three defensive player of the year calibre players in Green, Durant and Iguoldala.. their bench even though have lost some luster is still pretty formidable with the likes of Iggy, Livingston, West and Nick Young.. This team is built like a tank and as good as we are, we are up against a team that has two 67 wins and a 73 win season.. I dont think any team have had a three year run as strong as that.. Beating a team that is almost just as stacked on defense as they are on offense is not a very practical expectation to put.. Can we beat them yes, can we beat them 4 out of 7 games, unlikely but we have a chance.. putting expectation that championship or bust, is absolutely absurd.. I get we were built to challenge them, but lets face it, we are still on talent deficit compared to them.. We are really good, but these guys are damn near invincible when they are on.. Steph, Durant and Klay are all shooting better then 42.5% from 3 for heaven sakes, our best shooter is at 38.5%.

The Warriors this season have not been as good as the Warriors of the past three seasons and we have a big sample size to work with.

The only way i take a loss in the WCF and be ok with it is if we get to game 7, harden or Paul can't play and we lose by 1 point.

They have the best record in the NBA. Anything less than a championship would be a disappointment. I don't think Harden or Paul would view this season a success without winning a championship.
