Morey needs to cut Joe Johnson. That is all. Great signing as insurance, but D’Antoni plays that guy TOO much.

The love affair is out of control.

Really could have used an offensive push from Gerald Green near the beginning of this game. Not a ton of minutes for GG.. I’m only asking for 10-15!
I have nothing against JJ (I’d give him a few minutes per game to mix things up) but what we DONT need are post-ups and slow legs on the fast breaks (speaking of which, Mbah a Moute needs more minutes).

D’Antoni will probably keep playing JJ 15+ and GG will rot on the bench all playoffs unless there’s another injury.

    They say love is blind.

Joe Johnson's Real Plus Minus for the season is -4.05, ranked 480 out of 497 players. Granted, I don't know how often the Jazz only played him during garbage time which I guess could lead to some skewed stats? (but the Jazz are a winning team...)

Note sure what his Real Plus Minus is as a Rocket but if someone wants to find out that would be interesting info.

Not trying to hate on JJ but the more I think about it the more I feel he should be 12th man in the playoffs/insurance (what I think Morey intended for when he was signed...)

    Gerald Green we miss u

Ok so since Joe Johnson has been a Rocket his Offensive Box Plus Minus is -3.6, Defensive Box Plus Minus -1.1, Box Plus Minus -4.7

Jesus Christ, he has to be one of the few NBA players that could be a net negative when on the court in the most efficient offense ever and averages massive pt differentials.

Joe johnson should only be out there for garbage minutes. If we lose a playoff series because Mike decides to play him I will be livid. We really could have used that space for a real contributor.

Vs Boston Joe was receiving the ball in the post and the Celtics switched Rozier with Greg Monroe
as the ball was lofted in the air. Rozier bailed out upon entry pass for the bigger defender.

Last night I believe it was Van Vleet who bailed out for Poeitl.

If teams are going to pull that switcher.....Joe has his back to the defenders. The other Rockets players
need to yell out a signal to let him know. An indicator like Geronimo. Or Omaha. Something.

Joe can treat it like the defender pulling the chair out. Back up to the rim while trying not to stumble
and locating the big man coming across the paint.

Or step back 8-9 footer. Bank the shot if he must. If Joe can shoot it like Tim Duncan, then we have
a non issue. Easiest points in basketball. Practically a layup for Joe. Right now the Rockets
are trying to get use to or incorporating Joe’s play into the Rockets system that they are not use to
    running.

Joe is just spending too much time trying to recognizing what teams/defenders are doing. Teammates
need to communicate just like they do when a pick is coming up behind an unknowing
defender-teammate. Every Rocket player knows that play is being run, all 4 pairs of eyes
need to be looking at Joes defender and ready to announce to Joe (who is concentrating
on receiving the ball and using his body to shield off the defender) the situation behind him.

Is the defender sneaking around the baseline side to tip the pass away.....or steal the ball?
Or did he bail? Because all the post man feels is no contact all of a sudden.
