Kyle Tucker: Could he be our everyday LF in 2018?

Discussion in 'Houston Astros' started by Shark44, Feb 25, 2018.

?

Is Kyle Tucker ready to be our everyday LF?

  1. No, kid needs some more time in the minors to work on a few things.

  2. Yes, potential is oozing from him, let's get this party started!

  3. Maybe, its still early in Spring Training, let's not hyperventilate over the kind just yet.

And Keuchel can move to third. Since he's left handed, his glove side will help stop balls down the line.

Yes... but he’s pitched almost exclusively with his right arm. Could he be the solution to our lefty reliever problem?

Someone ought to take the time and energy to put together all of the BBS inside jokes and the history behind them.

Freudis Nova gets a 60 run grade from MLB Pipeline (the same as Derek Fisher got in 2015). Myles Straw's MLB Pipeline run grade is 70 and he is also ranked as the 'best baserunner' by Baseball America. Where are you getting your information about Nova?

I thought I read it on Astros Future or somewhere. Probably just a residual effect of too much Agent Orange on the brain though. And probably best to disregard my comment, which was likely in error.

There's all different kinds of speed.

Straight line, base line, 1st to home, and other...lines...

Are you suggesting I risk fatigue and possible injury?

I gotta prolong my career....that hasn't even really started yet.

You're thinking of Herbie Hancock... not John Hancock.

I'll play this game. Wouldn't it be just easier to start Marwin at first? then sexy jake and tucker platoon at left while fisher splits the dh when oso blanco is the catcher. I confused myself somewhere in there.

As long as they move Springer out of the leadoff position, everything else is fair game.

But what if I'm 5'0" and my "leg speed" is faster than your "leg speed" at 6'4" but you still get from point A to point B faster?!?
