Will Orlando Retire TMac's Jersey now that he's in HOF?

I'm pretty sure if it was only one player to retire, it would be Shaq, he's the best player out of all those Magic players

 

In this day and age of superstars jumping ships, retired jerseys aren't as meaningful as in the past.

 

No team should retire his number. He played for six teams, and he wasn't much of a difference maker with any of those teams. McGrady is a player without a team.

 

Good questions, I'd Say


1: Dwight (Longest tenure out of the 4 at Orlando, 4 time rebounding champ, 2 time blocks champ, took them to the finals)
2: Shaq (was a beast and took them to the finals - also scoring champ one year)
3: Penny (was great for them (2 time all-NBA 1st team there), Penny/Shaq combo was a great combination - finals trip)
4: T-Mac (2 time scoring champ, arguably had his best seasons there)

If they aren't retiring Shaq or Penny's Jerseys they aren't retiring T-Macs

 

Only played 4 seasons w/ Houston.. and missed a ton of games due to injury. Played less than 300 games here. Never won a single playoff series.

Really don't see why they should retire his jersey. Retired jersey #'s should be an elite achievement that is reserved only for the best of the best who enjoyed great accomplishments with a franchise.

 

i don't remember mergady only fans being that bad. i think it was yao (similar to lin) that was bad.
but difficult not to hate the player when he says stupid ish like "never playing with a great player" while yao was still around. or the "it's my fault" and "it's on me" stupidity. then declaring injury to stop a trade and then quitting. how can you not hate that?

 

Or publicly picking the Lakers to beat us in the playoffs.

Spurs retired some questionable choices..... Elliott, Silas, Bowen, Avery Johnson.

Couple of borderline Allstars or One time Allstars, a couple of role players. They won because of Duncan, Pop and system.

Avery Johnson was a fan favorite and Eliott was a Spurs Lifer

people outside the fanbase don't see it.
Since the Spurs and Rockets play all the time and it's easy to go to each other's arenas , Rockets fans aren't surprised

 

Favorites sure but you got to separate the truly greats from the very good and the also rans/sheeps.

That way you establish something every fan can get behind.

 

Don’t worry I’m sure Tim Duncan , iceman, and David Robinson are part of it
