    cause it's an old article and there's no good chinese players since Yao in the NBA.

    it's truly sad seeing the end of our players from the yao era. most just quietly disappeared into oblivion after leaving the rockets.

    I guess you're right. Jeremy Lin isn't technically Chinese.

    Yes. Definitely not Yao. Yao was more skilled as a center than Lin as a guard.

    Yao was also a better Rockets player in general. I'd rather have Yao pass the ball than Lin, there's a better chance Yao wouldn't turn it over.

    No argument there. Yao was one of the greatest Rockets. He'd probably be in the top3 conversation if not for the injuries.

    This is why I don't believe LOF's when they accuse our FO and ownership of being racist. We were/are pioneers in the Chinese market IMO and to this day, Yao's every utterance of his experience with the Rockets (outside of the injuries that derailed him) are effusive in sincere warmth and gratitude. The org accepted Yao as one of our own and he reciprocated. The gap between our org and Lin had nothing to do with racism, just the fact that he was simply not that good.
