If you ignore money, we are better with Ryno than without him. I think Les would have traded Ryno and picks to save money even if it weakened the team a little. So I would say the fact that Ryno is still here is the biggest sign that Tilman is the new owner.

Les knows that it takes a ton of money to win a championship. Thus sold the team. I credit Tilman
for bringing in Joe Johnson and B Wright. Hopefully one more buyout when available.

Saw on Bleacher Report today that Tillman thinks buying the team at 2.2 billion was sorta underpaying.
Team will be worth 3 billion within 5-10 years.

Qi will probably help him earn back most, if not all that money back next year.

I don't get it. By Tinman standards, Chuck should be an object of derision since he wasn't a part of either of the two championship teams. Instead, Tinman seems to love him. I don't get it. I never liked Barkley much as a Rocket, still don't like him as an ex-Rocket.

 

And Tilman will complete Les' Rockets ownership journey by inheriting a championship brought home by the team that Les built.

 

This is simply Barkley looking at the standings and noticing the huge gap between the top two and the rest of the teams. I don't think this specific comment has anything to do with Les not being the owner anymore.

 

I don't understand your poll question. Isn't the fact Tillman bought out the Rockets the proof he is the new owner?

Basically. Were any of the offseason moves made with Tilman's input or did he purchase the team after they were completed? I'll give him credit for this much though. He hasn't rocked the boat in his first season as owner. He knows he has a great thing going and isn't f'ing it up. Les fired a bunch of people right away(some of whom were quickly rehired due to fan backlash) and put plans in place to replace our uniforms that resulted in the pinstripe pajamas that we were stuck with for 8 years.
