Who will the Rockets waive to clear room for Joe Johnson

Sources: The Rockets plan to release guard Troy Williams to create roster space for Joe Johnson signing. Williams is expected to receive interest as free agent.

Yeah, that was one of my biggest problems with Black was he just was NOT meshing with the guards on the PNR. Missed cuts and rolls. Was a problem on offense and didn't overly make up for it defensively.

I guess they're still haunted by the Nene injury last season. We have plenty of wings, so Williams really doesn't have a place on this team.

I thought troy williams was good. He played well when he got that garbage mins

 

He had a decent game against the Suns last year. But he's gotten no playing time this season. Gerald Green literally came from his house and took what could've been his minutes and now we've added Joe Johnson to the mix as well.

 

This team is all about WIN NOW. And Williams wasn't such a great "upside piece" to keep around. Green totally took his spot.

Troy Williams doesn't help us out this year. He had one or two good games last year. Not worth a roster spot.

 

Anyone want to spend the time calculating which team is the oldest? We were 4th oldest coming into the season and Cleveland was the oldest (followed by SAS and GSW). CLE got much younger at the trade deadline.

 

He could have shown more if he would have gotten more PT right?

 

I don't know man, he was kind of a reach as it was. He was OK in the G-league, but there's a big leap between being productive there and productive in the NBA.
