Yes. I asked @BimaThug if the Rockets could add another buyout vet and STILL remain under the Luxury Tax. He said they could. (with the assumption of another roster spot being available).

 

If Mo Speights get Bought out (Wouldn't that be another great piece to add)
or he would probably head to the Warriors (Although i think there is some kind of exception of him not being able to sign with the last team he played for
also just thought about another player that can help defensively (Tony Allen)

FYI, regarding Mo Speights (that @Codman has alluded to), for the Magic, Vuc is coming back from his injury on Feb 22nd. So I could see the Magic waiting until then to potentially buying out Speights.

Buyouts have to be done by March 1st for the player to be "playoff eligible."

 

I was assuming the reason they realeased Troy was because Morey thought/knew he would get claimed off waivers and that money could be used towards a buyout candidate. Are we still holding strong for Mo?
