Wow, that’s the nail in the coffin for me. Never liked him much because of his ego, changing unis, Calvin firing, unwillingness to pay up and star chasing ways. His credit taking for those championships was bad enough, but this is next level. Those trophies belong to the franchise!! Greedy old fart, was already happy when he announced to sell, but now I’m overjoyed. Good riddance!!

Who cares. It was his team and can sell or keep what he wants. It's not like he took the name and record with him.

Tilman better be careful.... if we happen to win one this year Les may feel entitled to keeping that trophy too.

OK, I hate this. He literally inherited the first championship against New York.

If anything, keep the 2nd championship trophy and leave us the first one.

    This is just wrong .

I mean, I really don't like it, but that's his right and there isn't anything we can do about it.

What's normal practice when it comes to this, what exactly is considered property of the franchise sold. I mean what's to stop him from taking other assets that were part of the sale?

Legally binding agreements. He can't just walk into the building and start taking stuff that wasn't granted in the negotiations and in the final agreement. The trophies were obviously part of that. Tillman obviously agreed to this.

And let’s not act like Tillman didn’t use the thophies as a way to get that loan from Les.

Perfect perfect comparison lol. I'm mad, but the guy paid a lot of money for the franchise, it feels wrong but it isn't.

I’m pretty sure everyone here is upset but let’s just be happy Les didn’t take Hakeem with him.

Gosh, is he keeping his championship rings, too? That monster!

Trophies and banners can be replaced pretty easily. They break; they get tarnished. It's the memories that can't be replaced.

I guess you could say since he replaced them,

Not if Tillman ever needs to ebay those replicas.

I'm actually okay with this, this might keep the billion dollar buyer hungry enough to go earn his own. If trophies can simply be bought, the thrill in getting one is blunted.

It’s not. You can put yourself in a position to possibly add a star player or just go all out on getting that big name at the cost of developing young guys, trading away picks and putting all your chips in getting a big name. We lucked out with Harden for sure.
