actually if you didn't notice teams were inquiring about bev this past year, and once he hits the market coming up theres going to be plenty of interest.

    As a backup

Edit: saying he is a backup isn't a criticism.

My original point is he is overrated on this board. His tenacity is exaggerated by his mannerism

For instance he is nowhere near a lockdown defender

theres no such thing as a lockdown defender literally. the best defensive player isn't holding any other player to 0 pts every night. nobody has ever said that. any fan base overrates their own players. but that shouldn't take anything away from how good beverley fit on rockets and the value he brought. nothing you say can dispute that. your criticism of him is just you.

but hes absolutely an elite defender and if i need one stop on a possession to win the game, hed be a pretty smart choice if hes on your team

He is not an elite defender. He is above average

You have an elite defender now.

Pay attention to what elite really is

oh ok. all defensive team guys aren't categorized as elite defenders. i find it hilarious discussing defense with a lot of members on this board, when its likely a ton of them really dont know what good defense is.

so when beverlely locked up westbrook on the final possession last year when hou played okc on an island. thats not considered an example of elite defense to you? Ill wait. im anxious to see what you have to say

    Westbrook averaged 37 last playoffs.

    That's elite?

    2. westbrook shot the ball 152 times in 5 games. you're impressed by him scoring 37 with that many attempts. another L there

One play doesn't make a player

I'm not impressed but you brought up last season. Don't get upset at me

just classic. you can't answer the question. so you try to move on to something else.

"one play doesn't make a player" but you know what defines more than one play. When you actually make all defensive first team. that can never be taken away and defines play over the course of a full year.

just stop posting on this topic. you're no where near close to being on point here. i believe you've reach your limit on L's for the day. how sad for someone thats seems to been around as long as you have and doesn't have the slightest clue what defense is

Man **** all of you haters. This guy gave his all every single minute he wore that Rockets uniform. More than Lin, more than Harden, more than any Rocket in recent memory. We all know the kind of person he is and it doesn't surprise me that he has to talk mess because that's who he is. That's what Beverley does. He's loyal to every team he plays for and that's all he's doing.

He is a Rocket for life and didn't deserve to have a backup PG role on this squad after his performance in the playoffs last season.

    Bro

The Rockets didn't need that play to win. They won four to one.

LeBron blocking AI two seasons ago in the finals is a one play argument

wth are you even talking about. now you need to improve your reading comprehension? or you just dont follow the team enough to know what I am talking about

what about that lebron block. he too is also a great defender. that's why hes been recognized on the all defensive 1st team 5 times.

    next...

They needed that play in 4-1 series victory?

OKC had one reliable player that series. Westbrook

I love people who think anyone can drop over 30 a game just shooting a lot
