Lakers are trying to see if they can pry KL from SA. Willing to part with Brandon Ingram and more (of course). Looking to get addl picks that the Spurs would want.

Not saying SAS is willing to do anything at all. Again, stating that the Lakers are working the phones seeing what can be done.

The news here is not what the Lakers are offering but IF trully SAS has made him available for the right price.

IF they are willing to listen to offers that's news in itself.

Trying to see Malakas... Spurs keep things close to the chest, same with the Lakers.. Especially with this new management - they are trying to pull a Gasol - where if you remember, came out of nowhere. Lakers worked it real quiet before other teams could go in.

If thats the case got to believe there's a factor here of Kawhi and his agent prefering LAL and SAS trying to depart on good terms.
OR that SAS believe Ingram is a future superstar and are targeting him.
Because no matter what I think Kawhi can fetch a much better price from other teams.

Kawhi is not exactly an LA kind of guy. Odd.

Lakers management seems to think he would work well with Lonzo. Both quiet LOCAL guys... One source said they could be the "silent assassins" (playfully)

Wouldn't surprise me if they land him, but they'll be giving up more than just Ingram. You have to think Boston is going to get in the game too. Maybe Philly. Maybe NOH would part with AD. Lots of assets out there.

Kawhy and PG jr for next year would look nasty defensively.

If you fit pieces around them...jaysus

Cyber, this attempted move also says to me they feel they NEED a "star in place" to try to get George or LeBron. And PG is sounding more and more like he will stay in OKC. Lakers probably feel they need more of an edge with a known star "on board" to give them more of a chance in recruiting.

If no other teams get involved then : 1) Pop wants Ingram (sees him as a hidden gem?) 2) Kawhi demanded to go to LA.
Otherwise it doesn't make sense. By involving more teams you can always raise the price.

Perhaps last summer SAS called the Lakers inquring about Ingram and they are building these talks off of that.

one things is for certain.... if he's traded... it's not going to be to the Rockets... unless they are willing to part with Harden I would assume...
