God bless: Splash Gordon (3's) Smash Gordon (Dunks) and now I present to you: Slash Gordon (Layups) P.s - I am very shocked Slash Gordon hasn't been made official yet!!!
Dude should not be shooting 10 3's a game. Simply not good enough of a shooter. Trade some of those 3's for drives and his efficiency will skyrocket.
He looks so out of control when he starts dribbling and driving. Looks like he’s gonna fall over every time. Cracks me up
If we were 5-10 games into the season, I'd agree, but we're 50 games in and he's shooting 10 3's a game at 33%. Simply not good. Until his shooting comes back to an acceptable percentage, he simply should not be taking 10 3's a game, especially with how good he's been finishing at the rim. That's pretty basic. I'm all for him taking that many if he's hitting at a decent clip. At the very least he should stop taking the bad off balance 3's.
I think the reason his 3's are down is because of how they guard him also Look at the video, the defenders fight so hard through the screen to deny him the shot that they aren't even guarding the lane. Its funny because he's getting open lane on reputation only, he's not even hitting the 3's
I appreciate his driving in to score!!! It keeps our defenders scrambling instead of staying around the arc.
he has got to stop bailing the defense out by jacking so many contested threes. hes too damn good to settle so much
Last night was a bit of an exception, but I think the majority of threes Gordon takes are good looks. He has to keep shooting those no matter how long this slump lasts. But I would agree he needs to just say no on any contested threes until he gets his rhythm back.
What car does he drive or is it a bike? Gordon’s 3point shot haven’t been falling. I’m glad that he isn’t always settling on 3s. Those layups and dunks have help us in crucial moments when no one on the team can buy a bucket.
Was kind of surprised to read this tidbit in Lowe’s all star article today: Curry is still second overall in raw plus-minus. (Eric Gordon tops the league.)
