    But why would Lakers take on Anderson? They are trying to unload salary for free agency.

    If the Clippers send DeAndre to Cleveland for Tristan it might be enough to get LeBron to stay. Lakers would then have less of a need for 2 max slots. LeBron’s business partner also went on the record saying LeBron’s house acquisitions in LA mean nothing in regards to where he potentially would move.

    I’ve also heard that there’s already a very small chance that they would be able to get 2 max slots anyway because they’ve sunk Deng’s trade value and they have outstanding pick obligations so they can’t attach lots of picks to move on cap space anyway.

    And if even with all of this why do they want Ryan Anderson? If any GM could pull off this trade, they would be under investigation for collusion.
