I confess that I'm the biggest Ryan Anderson hater in the clutch forum. However, mad props for that that dunk he put down last night. That 1, 2, or 3 dribble stop and pump fake for 8 years while shooting a fade away over a 6'1" defender is soooo soft! From now to eternity go hard at the rim and there are other things you can do on the court besides hoisting up 3s, you're 6'10" my man!!
Dunk , aside i liked when ryno looks to post up or his dirk-like fadeaway. I figure that gives him a lil confidence when his 3 aint falling. Point is an aggresive ryno makes for a happy houston.
Brian T. Weber gets into so may bench reaction shots. What exactly is his job? Practice body, cheerleader, or team mascot? If, say, Troy Williams had the same dunk as Ryno, how excited would the bench be?
Loved it. And love this thread. But serious question - what is stopping him from being more aggressive like that all the time? If you can do it once, you can do it often.
i think he screamed the name of some famous dunker .. i ve read it somewhere on the forum but didnt understand it so i supposed its some famous dunkers name
Dan Majerle, Phoenix Sun. They were in the middle of talking about Suns players on those 90s Phoenix teams when he had the dunk. And Majerle wasn’t really that famous a dunker. Maybe in his first few years, but he was more known for being a 3-point shooter for the bulk of his career. As I remember.
his job is to be a cross between patrick beverley and bobby brown strong d 3pt shooting and wing in da club
Couple years ago he landed on his head and herniated a cervical disc. Incredibly lucky he's not quadriplegic. I don't blame him for avoiding contact. Maybe, after last night's dunk, he's finally getting over it. Maybe now he'll realize it feels so much better to be the hunter than it feels to be the hunted. I hope, come playoffs, we won't be calling him Flyin' Ryan any more-- I hope we'll be calling him the Beast. Wheel him out in chains, or in a cage, for warm-ups, and make him wear a Hannibal Lecter mask during the game... Well, one can hope.
Seeing this interview made me google "Matt Bullard" dunk...and lo and behold, one of the first results was a Clutchfans thread I started...almost 17 years ago. Can Bullard dunk? And the answer is at around the 7 second mark of this video... Funnily enough, that dunk looks a bit similar to Ryno's. Keep in mind, I started the thread 4 years before Youtube was even founded...I'm old.
I aint go lie that ryno dunked has me jazzed. We go hard on ryno on this site or should i say i do cause dude has so much more potential than we used to seeing. Whatever his struggles are i hope he overcomes them. I just love when this dude post up or rebounds when his 3's aint falling.
From Feigen's game article today.... When players exited the showers in the locker room, the dunk was playing on an endless loop with forward Trevor Ariza screaming through every repeat. Gerald Green, the lone dunk champion in the room, said he wanted Anderson to offer repeat performances. Chris Paul said, "Man, that was so fun." http://www.houstonchronicle.com/spo...-dunk-highlights-Rockets-rout-of-12495588.php
