Hadn't thought about that. I just know that he really should stay in the NL.

I don't get the sense Darvish really wants to play there. He probably wouldn't be able to handle the media.

I like how candid and engaged Darvish is with the free agency process and social media.

After the Cole trade Houston is at $150M without trading away McHugh ($5M). Adding Darvish would put them around $170M which should still be doable. Not that it should be expected but at this point Houston is a reasonable player for any elite player who is available, whether free agent or trade. Sign Darvish, move McCullers to Closer. Boom. Best pitching staff in baseball history.

I still think McCullers has a future as a staff Ace. I’m not ready to stick him in the pen just yet.

    Rotation:
    Verlander, Keutchel, Cole, Mcullers, Morton

    Long Relief:
    McHugh, Peacock, Martes

    Relievers:
    Devenski, Harris, Giles, Rondon, Smith

    Options:
    Hoyt, Sipp, Goose, etc.

Our pen is terrible. With the way MLB is moving its not about the starters any more. You really need a great bp.

Yep, thats just how f**king good our team was.

We could have done things the "logical" and "proven" ways. But we needed a challenge to make it interesting, so we just played without a bullpen entirely.

The current one where the starters pretty much go 5 innings. We were using all our starters in bullpen roles because bullpen was so terrible. How many innings did our game 7 starter go. Did you watch any of the post season?
