Towns is a great offensive player. But he seems to be an offense-only type player. This led me to think of a former Timberwolves, Kevin Love. Like Towns, Love put up great numbers in ppg and rpg. And Love is the superior long range shooter.

Since Towns is much younger and has more years left, he is obviously better at this point. But when both careers are done, is KAT simply going to end up as Kevin Love 2.0?

well Love managed to win a ring as one of the main contributors.
Towns will have about 10 -12 more chances to do that before he retires, so it's a matter of luck and circumstances.
Considering it's almost certain he spends another 6-7 years in Minnesota, the odds are against him.

If you meant who will be the best player that's another matter.

KLove did nothing until he got traded to Cavs.

Watching him play in some of the games, he'll have flashes of star-caliber plays. Then he'll suck it up most of the time.

I never got the hype around Wiggins, thought Parker should go 1st. Wiggins cannot shoot at all.

It happens with young guys. Bulls wouldn't include Deng for Kobe. DENG.

To be fair, the Lakers asked for Noah, Deng, Ben Gordon, and the Bulls first round pick (Rose) for Kobe. That would leave a team of Kobe and a bunch of bums just like the Lakers at the time.

Kevin Love was going to leave Minnesota. His contract was up in 2015 and everyone knew he was leaving. Not to say that Wiggins is anything special, but I wouldn't fault the Wolves for that trade. That was clearly the best deal available.

Karl Anthony Town without a question. Karl is the future of the NBA. Don’t compare him to a stretch 4.

From what I remember, Kevin put up monster numbers to make his GM look like a fool for choosing Rubio as the franchise player.
Kevin made Lebron want him in Cleveland. I think the Rockets wanted Kevin too.

Of course being a big, on a team with no center, playing with Lebron will make you look inept. You either wait your turn for the ball or park outside and shoot 3s

Yeah, and his team never made the playoffs until he joined the cavs with two all-stars on it who are better players than him.

Blame it on all his teammates before or after the trade, but he's the weakest player in a big 3 I have ever seen.

As a center piece, he is unable to take his team to a playoff seed. I can't say he's a superstar if he's unable to carry his team to the bottom seed.

I don't consider him a star as well, trash Minnesota team or not. The reason I shared that info was because he was a bit of a hot commodity prior to LeBron calling him to join up. He must've impressed LeBron enough and didn't as you put it, did nothing. Might be on different standards though, you and LeBron's

Two major things Love did well for the Wolves, Scoring (Shooting) and Rebounding.

Yeah, Lebron is a poor judge of character. For LBJ to play GM, it severely limits his chances of winning. That's why the Bulls organization w/ MJ was just that much better.

Love in an interview said he thought he was gonna start coming off the bench. In the interview he said that LBJ heard Love hinting on coming off the bench, and mentioned to him, "You know you're gonna start, right?"

Maybe the decision to start or not isn't bad, but he's gotta be on the trading block soon. He's unpredictable when it comes to production.
