I don't get why this bothers people so much. Such a weird thing to get worked up about.

What i like about Obrien is he doesnt mess around (regarding wanting to cut players ) right Away.. Mallet an example-
I think Rick tends to hold on to unworthy players to long, and its just a bigger set back. Just look at the Patriots. They trade their veteran players before they go off the hill. Hopefully they have that same mindset..

Watching the Texans organization provides a good contrast to the Rockets and Astros organizations. In fact, there is probably some excellence (or even competence) limits to any given area's sports teams.

I don't think Gaine is "his guy".

I'd think "his guy" would've been Nick Caserio, one of his closest friends.

Now what we need is a roster. This one sucks.

That guy's always tossing turds -- too much exposure to Solomon.

O'Brien brought Mallet over and started him over better QBs in two separate seasons.

I'm afraid the Texans are becoming one of those dysfunctional franchises. We had moderate success 2011 - 2016, but what was once a bland organization unable to reach the next level, we now seemingly have no direction, and no leadership.

Bro, his useless son has the organization on lockdown after Bob goes. Keep in mind Bob’s father is still alive and over 100 years old.

Basically you and I will be dead by the time McNair and son aren’t running the show.

Just shut up, buy your Texans jerseys from Academy and accept the McDonalds quality football shoved down your gullet.

It's worse. Look at the roster. You've got a few good players then tons of junk.

What a strange comment.... they most certainly have both direction and leadership. That doesn't mean they have good (or bad) direction/leadership - but they are most assuredly being led by Bill O'Brien.

And I don't know that I'd call this team bland. Deshaun Watson will be one of the NFL's marquee stars; if he's healthy and builds on his rookie promise.... he may in fact become THE face of the NFL and make the Texans a prime time staple. The franchise may yet drive itself into a ditch - but in terms of.... sizzle (for lack of a better term), when have the Texans ever been this interesting?...

When we had Andre, Arian and a young Watt all on the same team.

Not to mention a top 10 OL, a pro bowl QB, solid depth and proven coaching.

Today's Texans are utterly dependent on a second year QB putting up historic numbers. If Watson is merely good, this is a very bad team.

I didn't ask when was the last time they were *good* - I asked when was the last time they were interesting. I guess I should have expanded on the idea: interesting to anybody who isn't already a Texan fan.

Watson raises their profile significantly.... if he's healthy and good.

It is all speculation but consider how nasty and bad it will be if Watson isn’t healthy or isn’t really good.

I'm sure Brian O'Bill will work out just fine.
