Valentina's in Austin has amazing breakfast tacos, I'm pretty sure they've even shown up on some best BBQ in Texas lists despite being a BBQ/Tex-Mex fusion joint.

Charlie's Tacos on Kirkwood near 59. Inside a Valero gas station.

    I LOVE Valentinas.

I hear you. When it's bad (grocery store tube) it's really bad.

I know where my stuff comes from, there's a great Mexican market here, I've helped her break down the pig and grind (she won't tell me her spice mix) and she is meticulous about things and cleanliness. She provides the chorizo to about 5 of the mex/tex-mex joints around here. No grease (not any more or less than, say 80/20 hamburger), great spiciness.

See they have foot long breakfast tacos, that'll be hard to pass up. This place is less than 5 mins down the street.

What’s the difference between a breakfast taco and breakfast burrito?

None, other than where you are eating it.

    Taco: Tex, Cali, the Southwest
    Burrito: other places

I mean, burritos are bigger. I know at Tornado Taco you can get either a breakfast burrito or a breakfast taco. If a place is serving you a taco-sized food item and calling it a burrito, they're ignorant.

Ah, ok. Nowhere I've ever been in Texas serves a burrito-sized breakfast taco.

That'd be, what, about 6 eggs?

6? Maybe it's because I only buy large or jumbo eggs, but that seems like a ton of eggs. That alone would fill an entire burrito-sized flour tortilla. I doubt I've ever had a regular-sized breakfast taco with more than 2 eggs. Hell, even 2 eggs would be pushing it.

I'm guessing that Tornado Taco does probably 3 eggs in a burrito with another filling (bacon, sausage, potato). The only thing that sets it apart from their tacos is that it's larger.

If you are in the League City area, Juanderful Burrito has a pretty good gigantic breakfast burrito called the "Big Juan" that has eggs, potato, chorizo, bacon, beans, and cheese. It's good but not something you could eat before work or any activity really because its creates the ITIS.

How about somewhere in the beautiful Cypress Creek Parkway area (aka FM 1960 W)? I've can't eat cafe express breakfast tacos or really anything from the crappy "restaurant" on the first floor of our office building.

There's a taco truck nearby called Los Lokoz Tacos that looks legit and has good ratings online... anyone tried it?

Brah...size, girth, thickness of the burrito differentiates it from a taco.
