He got caught up using Alt-Right coined terms on Twitter, in particular he was tangentially discussing both Pizza Gate and Gamer Gate the first of which turned out to be a Russian propaganda campaign that exploited the ignorance and easily influenced alt right internet faction; and the latter of which was initiated by former Trump advisor Steve Bannon who was heavily involved with the Alt-Right. Of course this is the same group who orchestrated the event that led to a political killing of a woman in Charlottesville and much of their rhetoric is arguing that not only it is good to be racist and anti-semetic, but that they are viable political positions that should shape US policy.
