We have Deshaun Watson, you know. "Nothing changes much," like we still have Osweiler/Hoyer/Mallet at QB...

I wish his wife well. I know all too well how much cancer sucks. It's weird to me that they're going to Arizona for treatments, but I'm not here to judge...

Family comes before anything else. Good for Rick Smith for being there for them.

Pretty much. Everybody loves a long term plan until the losses begin piling up.

This certainly sounds like he's gonna be moved into a different role. You don't want to bring sports up when something like cancer is involved, but hiring a temporary replacement GM doesn't sound like a realistic thing.

One thing is for sure, coach and GM need to be on the same page with personnel.

But God gave her the cancer to begin with so how does that work?

Nothing evil comes from God. It is complicated, but the answers are available to those who seek them.

My only question is why in Arizona? Why not Houston, we have the best care. I believe this is a way of the Texans respectfully letting him go instead of getting fired. Rick Smith will be fine, I only worry about the kids because it is a world changer for them. As days go by, they will learn to live and get on with life (been there, done that). The best way to fight this is to have family to give warmth to the person with it. I wish our GM well.

My thoughts exactly. My heart goes out to the Smith family for what they are enduring right now, but thank goodness he will no longer be our GM. Give Bill O'Brien more power to run this football team. The guy can coach football, and his players love him. To get respect from the modern day athlete takes a hell of a lot more than people understand. This team is going to look totally different in 2018 with O'Brien not looking over his shoulder at whatever he does.

    Go Texans!
