I am so sick of the open shot that we pass around for being hesitated on, pump faked or out right passed up.
At this point I am not overly mad if it goes in or not . . . . . because that is the offense
of course I want it to go in but d*mn. . .. .
We have players passing up shots then get pissed when Harden has to ISO or heave a last minute contested shot

THE OTHER TEAMMATES HAVE TO PULL THE TRIGGER
That is killing us as much as everything else.. . . .

1 point in the second half of this Celtics game.
According to the ESPN play by play . . . did not attempt 1 shot in the second half
    What
    The
    f*ck
    Anderson?

    AMEN AMEN AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Passing up open 3s kills the flow of our offense, leads to indecisive dribbling/passing, which leads to turnovers and easy transition buckets.

    SHOOT THE BALL!!!!!!!!!!!

    agree.

we need to keep shooting w/ any daylight. we morph into a traditional team- or maybe, its just hard to play solid D and be ready to shoot absurd shots all game, exhausting endurance and focus wise.

maybe having a sic defensive unit, led by CP3, is necessary to refocus the first unit. maybe w/o them we eventually run out of steam/focus and crack.

i mean we did have a sic first Q, and only lost by 1. we were dstroying the 3rd best team in the league by record on their home court on national tv. clearly, a small dose of three of our best players would have won us that game.

Anderson hesitated on at least 4 open shots today. No idea why he's hesitating, he's literally paid mainly to stretch the floor and shoot.

When we miss the oportunity . . .. the whole offense has to reset with like 8 seconds on the clock . . . . ..
WTF we suppose to do then besides ISO ?

He needs to be really wide open to attempt a shot. This smacks of zero confidence in your shot with a defender nearby.

Its one thing if they are passing up good shots and getting better shots but they are passing up decent looks for way worse looks - normally ISOs with the clock winding down and everyone keyed in on Harden. Another consequence of this hesitation is we are also getting less possessions in a game than normal - last year we were top 10, this year we are #26. The risk/reward ratio of the types of shots we strategically take demand us to take as many shots as possible in a game - that's why pace is so important. We are taking nearly 4 shots less per game this year - you figure that could net us anywhere from 2-5 extra pts in a game, and that's enough to possibly make a difference in the outcome of at least 3 of the games we recently lost.

....not to distort the reality - we are still a top 2 or 3 team in the league even with that ugly stat but the difference I see between the Rockets earlier in the year and today is they are hesitant to shoot and slow to get it up the floor. Would love to see us play some 7 seconds or less style ball but you aren't going to be able to do that with this 7 or 8 man rotation(maybe if we were younger) and a bench that can't keep a 15+pt lead for more than a few minutes.

Everyone has to do their part - the players need to pull the trigger without hesitation and work to get into scoring opportunities earlier in the clock, MDA needs to run a deeper rotation to allow the players to play at that pace, and Morey needs to bring in some bench depth. I personally think Morey is holding out for some buyout candidates after the trade deadline but I don't know if we can wait that long for the reinforcements - and there is no guarantee the "reinforcements" don't go play for Cleveland instead. Part of GS' luxury is they have bottom of the bench guys who are actual vets who maybe won't grow a lead, but wont surrender one immediately. If we want to compete with them, we need that as well so our stars aren't burn out before the all star break.

Most of the time, when he's wide open, he's shooting from like, 30 feet away.

Honestly, he needs to see how other big men get open. Porzingis, Dirk, Frye, Cousins.
